About me

Johann Joubert
I will be turning 44 later this year (2023). I am a husband, father, a keen musician, sportsman and CEO of a successful technology company that has survived – and thrived – in spite of a culmination of dooming local and global events over the last five years.
A resident of Cape Town, South Africa, I get to experience the great and the terrible, all in a day and I’ve learnt that an event is indeed, what you make of it.
The books I write, do not claim to unlock some secret that is the answer to life, the universe and everything. I have merely taken the time to write down what many may already know and some may already have forgotten. Either way, the books intend to affirm the principles and resilience that will help us weather any storm.
I write in multiple genres, as I feel inspired to leave a lasting and positive impression across the journey we call life.
CS Lewis once said, “Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.” This is why I write children’s stories and novels to inspire us and to help us remember that in each of us, there is already a hero, merely waiting for the right circumstances within which to be manifested.
I also write business related books, geared towards entrepreneurs, for they too, are heroes who answer a call and who take up a wonderful and terrible challenge. By sharing my own experiences, I hope to guide them through some of the challenges I had to navigate, the lessons I learnt and the promise that, when we do the right things for the right reasons, success will come.
